About Chloe
My creativity is an extension of my spirit.
At three years old in Seattle, WA, I could be seen sitting in the kitchen, drawing for hours - rainbows, clouds, flowers and princesses.
After moving to San Francisco, CA, I went to The San Francisco Montessori School, for 4th - 8th grade. I benefitted from a wonderful art and music program, and I flourished creatively. At Lowell High School, I discovered surrealism, and escaped into the art room in free periods, rendering vines growing while belted to the ground.
AP art class allowed me to submit a portfolio to the Rhode Island School of Design, and I received an award for my artwork when I graduated.
In my twenties, I ventured into color with acrylic and pastels. New mediums led to a small show at Goat Hill Pizza, where I sold one piece. It was a self portrait, in pastels, that to me resembled me looking like Curt Cobain.
My move to Portland, OR, brought photography into focus as a new medium, and I roamed the Southeast neighborhood taking photos with a old manual camera. I had a photography show in a small coffee shop consisting of black & white photos of flowers, architecture and some candids of Portlanders.
Life got loud, and I put down my art for a long time.
It was the pandemic in Missoula, MT, when I picked up a paintbrush for again. I painted Survival Succulents sitting on the ground in front of a huge canvas in my dining room.
Since then, painting has become a journey with realism infused with the vivid soul of living organisms through my eyes.
